When We Walk By: Unhoused in the Fox Cities

Monday, November 11

6:30-8:00 p.m. • Hybrid Program

Our housing crisis is creating many victims, including those individuals and families who are without any housing and undoubtedly have the most urgent needs. Yet, as a society we often “walk by” without acknowledging them or seeing past the stereotypes. The unhoused can easily become a forgotten part of the community, creating what might be called, “the invisible class.”

On November 11, LWV will partner with ESTHER and Pillars, whose missions bring awareness and assistance to the unhoused population in our community, examining the root causes of this crisis and seeking solutions to manage it. During this program we will meet individuals who have experienced being unhoused and explore the role we can play in finding solutions.

Full details, including access to a documentary provided by ESTHER and suggested reading materials, may be found by clicking on the program title under Upcoming Events. Registration is required for this hybrid program. Full details, including access to a documentary provided by ESTHER and suggested reading materials, may be found on the Event page HERE.
