Executive actions by the administration in Washington, D.C.are topping the news cycle daily.
Nonpartisan League chapters across the country are in agreement that these unconstitutional actions cannot go unheeded or unchallenged. The missing player in this scenario is the United States Congress.
After thoughtful consideration of these unconstitutional directives, and consultation with the state League, we decided to send an urgent call to action to our congressional representatives and to launch a local action initiative.
In collaboration with the Winnebago County League, we held a News Conference at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 25 in the Company E Room of the Elisha D. Smith Public Library, 440 First St., Menasha.
Leaders of the two Leagues issued a call to action to our elected congressional delegates, and offered resources for other civic-minded organizations and individuals to join in sending a strong message to Congress.
