In 2020, the League of Women Voters elevated their position on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) to be equal to their nonpartisan position.  This means that everything that is done by the League needs to be viewed equally through a nonpartisan lens and a DEI lens.  Members of this committee work with all other areas – voter services, programs, action, membership, and communications to ensure that all people in our community are welcome, heard, and included.  The better we understand each other and work together, the stronger our positions will be.

Our activities can take the form of organizing discussion groups, providing suggestions for programs, and working with study committees to ensure that positions reflect our commitment to DEI and more.

Meetings are held via Zoom on the first Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m.

If you believe that empowering voters and defending democracy is best done through a lens of diversity, equity and inclusion, we would welcome you to this committee. Email us at dei@lwvappletonfoxcities.org
