Voter Services

The Voter Services Team is a leadership group representing various aspects of voter services; members at-large can volunteer for specific events/projects as their schedule permits. This team supports voter registration, and voter education through candidate information (forums, voter guides and VOTE411), collaborating with students and offering training. Voter Services Team meetings are held monthly. There is an increase in activity during election cycles and a variety of opportunities to volunteer.

Action

Action starts with observing local government meetings on our Observer Corps. Observers monitor city, town, county, and school board meetings looking for issues where our League might advocate for the greater good. You choose where you go. If you’re already deeply connected with local government issues, join our Executive Action team. We meet virtually every other month to share our advocacy priorities.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The mission of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is to connect those least likely to engage in civic and public policy with their local government. We work to make government more representative, responsive, and anti-racist by dismantling systems of injustice.

Climate Resilience

The Climate Change Preparedness and Resilience Study Committee understands that the topic of Climate Resilience is vast, complex and evolving through new knowledge. While its two-year study is complete, the study members hope that the new Climate Resilience Committee can help carry forward many of the study's recommendations, continue further research, keep track of positive stories, and assist with League advocacy.

We hope to attract anyone interested and passionate about this topic, especially diverse people who hope to effect positive actions in our community.
