Constitution Square a “Historic” Success!
Constitution Square registered with people of all ages and places as the League welcomed them to sign the Preamble of the Constitution, gather voting information, test their civics knowledge, and take selfies with Lady Liberty. Special thanks to all of the volunteers who made the event happen week after week in July and August on the lawn of the History Museum at the Castle. Their spirit and passion for democracy made the event a celebration.
Special thanks to the History Museum at the Castle for being our host partners — a perfect venue for connecting history and today’s atmosphere into a one-of-a-kind experience. Kudos to the singer-songwriters, music education professionals, and performers who kept everyone entertained. Thank you to the Girl Scouts for participating in what we hope will be a growing relationship. And, special thanks to the friends and family who supported Constitution Square, whether by hoisting the canopies or hauling signs, or greeting passersby and inviting them in to be a part of history.
And it isn’t over yet! Constitution Square will return for a one-time appearance during Octoberfest on Saturday, September 26. Same great, accessible location. New hours. Fun added activities. Watch for details closer to the date.
Join the League as we empower voters and defend democracy — one selfie at a time!
