It was suggested in December that we read something on disability DEI issues. Our books for February are these:
*Demystifying Disability: What to Know, What to Say, and How to Be an Ally," by Emily Ladau, and
"Disability Visibility: First Person Stories from the 21st Century" by Alice Wong. This one is available in regular adult and young adult versions.
BOTH are pretty slim books, so read them both, pick one to read, or read none. Simply come for the discussion — it's all OK! Everyone is welcome.
We meet at the League office, 120 N. Morrison St., downtown Appleton. It's on the first floor and is accessible.
